Drivers Abstracts:

To insure your vehicle in another jurisdiction, you are likely to require proof of your driving history and claim history for vehicles that are registered and insured in your name. We can provide Saskatchewan drivers with a Driver Abstract/Plate Record from SGI.

For individuals who are out of province to obtain a Drivers Abstract/Plate Record, we require a written request from you providing your full name, date of birth, and Saskatchewan driver’s licence number (if available). The request must also include each applicant’s signature and payment must accompany the request.

The Saskatchewan Drivers Abstract/Plate Record is the standard document provided by SGI for insurance purposes. The Driver’s Abstract portion is a record of the individual’s convictions and/or accidents. If there have been no convictions or accidents it will indicate "Nil" on the abstract. The Plate Record is a complete record of any vehicles registered to that individual within the last five years. NOTE: If a vehicle is registered in joint names and the driver requires proof that the vehicle was registered and insured in Saskatchewan, it is necessary to request an abstract under the joint name, in addition to the individual driver abstract. The fee for each abstract is $10.00
